I know this is the very definition of prejudice, but I instantly have a lower view of anyone I see with a "black ice" air freshener.

Hello kitty strawberry-scented air freshener. Nice, without being sickly sweet.

I use the Armor-All one that came in the car care gift pack my mom got me. It works well, I clip it onto the B-Pillar vent next to the driver's seat so it's outa sight.

I'm a detailer and deep clean my car weekly, so I never really need one.

You haven't smelled some of the stuff my friends buy. When you can get an ounce for $5, you know it's bad.

Favorite ways of freshining air

1) Open windows occasionally

2) Vaccuum regularly

3) Never eat in car

4) When 1-3 fail, coffee and/or coffee beans

It's been almost 30 years since I bought an ounce. Back then, you could do real well for $120. What are they going for these days? Not that you'd know, or anything.

I don't use an air freshener as a rule, but I have found that carting around a big box of laundry powder in the trunk can do wonders.

If I did know, I'd say that the last time my buddy picked up 6 ounces of some decent quality, it came out to around $120-140. Typically the people around here do bulk discounts. I think one guy wanted $300 for a pound of it.

Chocolate, that is. We're talking about chocolate. Really expensive chocolate. Yeeaahh.

Interesting that prices haven't changed all that much in all the years. Back in the day, I had a job and a savings account, with an old passbook that you took to the bank to record deposits and withdrawals. The withdrawals column was 120, 120, 120, 120.....

For chocolate.

Honestly I prefer the smell of just keeping the car clean. "Fresheners" make me sick.

Can't stand them. Keep your car clean, don't eat, smoke, or drink in it, and there's no need for one anyway.

can't beat the real new car smell... My mustang had its factory new leather smell through 3 years. Very impressive. (Admittedly I kept it clean.)

As a rule of thumb, I only use a light air freshener once the new car smell completely evaporated.

Yankee Candle's "leather" is pretty neat (small doses only!)

And so is wunderbaum "spice" (in very small doses!!)

Usually food I didn't finish from a restaurant and have left in my car for several hours. Comes in many scents like french fries, buffalo wings and regret.
